Most ingredients can be purchased at shops in the game, so you won't have to hunt too much. Rather than working based upon your Hunter Rank, Altissia's Hunts require you to complete prior Hunts, so if the Hunt you want isn't on the list, do other Hunts in Altissia until it appears.
